It's not very common to lower a Defender but the main reason for offering this product is to be able to use car parks and underground garages. It's not possible with the standard height; even a standard prefabricated garage is too low.
You hardly notice the lowering, only if you have a closer look. With just a little smaller tires such as 265/75R16 the serial optic remains the same due to the increase of clearance in the wheel well.

Please note that these springs are very sensitive to weight distribution. You may need to fit 1 or 2 silencers/spacers 10 mm for height adjustment.

This suspension kit covers the overall application field of the Defender. It has been further developed and optimized for more than 15 years. It is precisely aligned to the specifications of the Defender. The main difference to the standard springs is the progressive mode. The first millimeters of the compression travel are soft and adaptable, only after that the spring rate increases. The vehicle height remains the same. This Heavy Duty kit is for Land Rover Defender 110, suitable with our suspension kit standard height or standard Land Rover springs. 

With this kit the ride is much safer and tighter even when the vehicle is fully loaded. If the Defender is empty, then the vehicle is approx. 30mm higher at the rear.
The ride won't be too hard when driving the Defender empty due to the precicly aligned set-up of the springs.
