Any  4x4 driver with serious off-road ambitions should have an underbody protection in the front and engine area. Stones, debris, branches, steep slopes and much more can easily damage the oil pan, mechanical components, radiator, liquid lines or electrical system in tough off-road use. 

Our Nakatanenga underbody protection for the New Defender (from BJ2020) is clearly superior to the original Land Rover variant. Even though they are similar in size, shape and position, the Nakatanenga protection plate is made of 8 mm aluminium! That's a whopping 60% increase over the 5mm OEM part! It's a neat fit because it doesn't reduce the front angle of slope and it doesn't increase the size of the vehicle.
The rope window on the front guard is below the number plate and doesn't block the PDC sensor.

Lambda probe / O2 sensor protection for New Defender 2020.
Several tests have shown that the New Defender has extraordinary off-road capabilities.
However, due to the independent suspension there is a risk for ground contact when getting through tough terrain.
The rear lambda probe is the main sensor to regulate and minimize exhaust gas pollution. If this sensor is damaged the car goes into limb mode immediately.
The O2 sensor is not protected on the New Defender and it is highly recommended to fit a sensor guard to protect it.
This guard is made of stainless steel and is mounted to existing fittings.
